The University of Sydney has developed the Sydney Uni mobile application (‘Sydney Uni App’) to provide a unified and tailored experience for accessing information about our services, resources and opportunities.
When you use the Sydney Uni App, we will collect and use your personal information to authenticate you as a registered user, personalise content for you, send you push notifications, and enable you to access our services and resources.
The information we collect includes your name, email address, Unikey (where applicable), IP address and geolocation data if enabled on your device. We will also collect and use data about your usage of the Sydney Uni App, such as your frequently accesses services or resources, to help us improve the app.
We use third-party services to provide functionality within the Sydney Uni App. These third-party services include Okta and Amazon Cognito for authentication, Amazon Kendra for search experience and search analytics, and the Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics services to collect usage data. We will share your personal information with these third parties where necessary to enable and support your use of the Sydney Uni App.
We will not share your personal information with anyone else without your consent unless we are required or authorised by law to do so.
We will store your personal information securely and dispose of it in accordance with our Recordkeeping Policy 2017.
